Hotelympia Innovation Award winners revealed

A selection of products described as ‘the answers to some of the greatest challenges we face’ have been recognised at the Hotelympia Innovation Awards across four categories, Design, Equipment, Food & Drink, and Technology.
Hospitality furniture specialist GO IN was given the Design Innovation Award for Resysta, a new material created to replace the tropical hardwood used so often in outdoor furniture.
Mechline Developments, manufacturer of the GB 360 food decomposition system that converts waste food into grey water, and was mentioned in BigHospitality’s Sustainability Week, was awarded the Equipment Innovation Award.
The Food and Drink Innovation Award went to McCormick for their Recipe Mixes, a range of six herb and spice mixes, including Moroccan and Mediterranean, that are low in salt and portion-controlled.
The Technology Innovation Award was awarded to Service Invisible by Catering for a Sustainable Future Group (CSFG), for their kitchen energy monitoring system.
The four products will now be displayed in Hotelympia’s Innovation Lounge, where visitors can vote for their favourite to win the People’s Choice. An overall winner will also be chosen on 4 March by the Inspiration Team.
