Do you have a problem you'd like solving? Need advice on a particular area of your business? BigHospitality may just be able to help with the launch of our new feature 'Ask the Experts'

We have gathered together a panel of experts from across the hospitality industry, including John Firrell of the Considerate Hoteliers Association and Martin Couchman of the British Hospitality Association, to answer any problem, big or small you may be having with your business or in your career.

You might be wondering how the new tipping legislation will affect your business; want to make your hotel, restaurant or pub greener, but aren't sure how; need advice on training staff, or simply want to know where to find the best price for new kitchen equipment.

We get lots of excellent…

We get lots of excellent reviews from happy customers, mostly complementing us for our superb food. How am to persuade any of the guides to visit us as I am sure our food and service style would warrant some kind of recognition?
We offer by far the best food in Rotherham; and that's the problem - Rotherham has no culinary culture. Even people in our close neighbour city, Sheffield, cannot conceive of there being somewhere nice to eat in Rotherham!
But if we gained a grain of recognition from one of the top guides - which of course we did not have to pay for -, this would help me promote my business and more importantly help the careers of my fantastic staff, who choose to work here because they live here and there is shortage of local establishments which serve top quality food cooked from fresh ingredients. Must get off my hobby horse, now.
