Hospitality entries are now being sought for this year’s Mayfair Park and Tower Race, which seeks to raise money to help underprivileged young people find work in the industry.
The brainchild of Chris Galvin and Galvin at Windows general manager Fred Sirieix, the race involves a 5km run around Hyde Park’s Serpentine Lake, followed by a final race up the stairs of the London Hilton on Park Lane to Galvin at Windows on the 28th floor.
At its launch last year, the race raised over £20k for the Galvin’s Chance charity, enabling a host of apprenticeships for underprivileged young people in several London hotels.
Competitors must commit to raising a minimum of £250 in sponsorship, and can enter via www.mayfairparkandtowerrace.com. This year's race will take place on 7 July 2010.
