Sodexo general manager Andrew Green has been appointed chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs (CGC).

Green will take over the role from current chairman Nick Vadis for the next three years. Christopher Basten, executive chef at the Marriott, County Hall, will take on the role of vice chairman.

Green said the CGC was 'the strongest and most talked about chef organisations in the UK', but that he expected to face challenges going forward.

“There will, as always, be tough decisions to be made along the way, ones which I and the new committee will make, always with the Guild’s best interests in mind," he said.
