Circle Club, Manchester’s private member’s club and restaurant, is looking to expand in the north of England and create six new Circle venues within the next two years.

The company is on the hunt for high-street venues of 8-12,000 sq ft and is already in negotiation on two proposed sites, one in Manchester city centre and another on the outskirts of the city. Its target areas are towns around Greater Manchester, such as Alderley Edge and Knutsford, as well as cities including Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester.

Based in the Grade ll-listed Barton Arcade off Deansgate, Circle Club underwent a £1.4m expansion to create a VIP Inner Circle and a new restaurant, the Kitchen. “It’s a brand we know we can roll out and be successful with,” said managing director Craig Ince.

“We want to keep some element of the private member’s club at all sites as well as bar and restaurant, but it will depend on the location for the exact specification.”
