Piccolino owner the Individual Restaurant Company (IRC) has warned the football World Cup could have a negative impact on its business.
In a statement ahead of its AGM the Bar & Grill operator said sales for the first three weeks of May had been marginally up, representing the first sustained growth since the economic downturn.
But IRC chief executive Stephen Walker warned there were some key England games taking place in important trading periods.
He added: “As a result trading for the first half will be impacted by the performance of the group during this period in June.
