The former general manager of Rising Star Leisure’s The Establishment in Battersea and Parson’s Green will next month launch his first solo restaurant and bar in Battersea.
Jayke Mangion will launch Entrée Restaurant and Bar on 1 July at the top of Battersea Rise, serving a French-Italian menu devised by former Le Gavroche chef Omar Palazzolo.
The 40-cover restaurant and bar is divided over two floors with a wrought iron staircase separating the two. A piano sits on the ground floor bar area that features leather banquette seating reminiscent of an American speakeasy. The restaurant walls will be pasted with 100-year old Parisian journals.
Palazzolo, who has also spent time cooking at Nobu, Tom Aikens and most recently Lamberts in Balham, will feature dishes such as Pea Aranchini with Avocado, Tomato and Cress, Denham Estate ‘Saddle Back’ pork belly with Chorizo, Lyonnaise and Apple Sauce, and Pan-fried Sea Bass with Roasted Fennel and Trompette della Morte on his menu.
Pasquale Fais, formerly of Lonsdale House, Hoxton Pony and Pinchito will lead the bar team as head bartender.
