London hotels remain on course to see a year of growth in 2010, having escaped the worst of last year’s international hotel fallout, according to a new report.

TRI Hospitality’s HotStats 2010 predicts revPAR growth of 2.5 per cent for the London hotel market this year after two years of decline.

London’s revPAR decline of 5.1 per cent last year was one of the best in the world, with the majority of international hotel markets seeing double digit declines.

However this year is likely to remain tough for provincial hotels as consumers restrict spending, and a 1.5 per cent fall in revPAR is forecast as hoteliers cut rates to keep custom.
