As Travelodge celebrates the opening of its 400th hotel in London Waterloo, newly appointed chief executive Guy Parsons explains how he will achieve the group's aim of becoming the largest hotel operator in London by the 2012 London Olympic Games

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, opened Travelodge's 400th hotel last week as the hotel group celebrated its 25th anniversary.

The opening is the 34th hotel in the capital for the group​, as it continues on its journey to operate 45 in time for the London 2012 Olympics - making it the largest hotel operator in the capital.

BigHospitality caught up with newly appointed chief executive Guy Parsons, who explained how Travelodge has managed to maintain a steady growth, how the group is performing within the hotel sector, and what his plans are for the future.
