Daniel Cox, head chef at Roux Parliament Square, is to leave the Michel Roux Jr and Compass Group collaboration at the end of July, just weeks after the restaurant opened.

The Westminister restaurant, which opened in May under Compass' corporate fine dining arm Restaurant Associates, is now looking for a replacement after former Roux scholarship winner Cox stepped down from his position.

A statement from the 56-cover restaurant read: “We are working closely with Dan to help him decide on his next career move and as a young chef with a huge amount of talent we are sure he has a bright future ahead of him.”

Restaurant Associate's executive chefs will support the team at Roux Parliament Square until a replacement is found.
