Jamie’s Italian, the fast-growing restaurant chain spearheaded by Jamie Oliver, is lining up a new location in Milton Keynes, Big Hospitality understands.
The group, led day-to-day by managing director Simon Blagden, is understood to have agreed terms on a retail unit in thecentre: mk, which already plays host to Café Rouge, Carluccio’s, Nando’s and YO! Sushi.
Jamie’s Italian has 14 locations with a restaurant set to open in Birmingham in October followed by outlets in Nottingham and Bristol in January and February next year.
Earlier this year, Jamie’s Italian was named Brand of the Year by the British Hospitality Association (BHA) at its annual awards.
The chain was commended for its successful national roll-out, which has created jobs and ‘excellent dining experiences’.
As well as a location in Milton Keynes, the group is understood to be applying for planning permission to convert the Bell pub in St Albans to the format.
