Price rewind

To mark its 25th anniversary, three Michelin-starred restaurant The Waterside Inn in Bray is offering local diners three course meals at 1985 prices. On 20 and 21 October, customers living within a 10-mile radius of the restaurant will be able to try the £56 Menu Gastronomique for just £14.50. The menu includes dishes such as Velouté de Châtaignes au Champagne, Julienne de Volaille et dés de Celeris rave (Chestnut and Champagne Velouté with Chicken Julienne and Diced Celeriac) and Tarte au Chocolat et aux Framboises, Sorbet à la Framboise (Chocolate and Raspberry Tart served with Raspberry Sorbet).

Good Food Guide: Recipes

Harvey Nichols in Knightsbride will be hosting two dinners with Sat Bains and Chris and Jeff Galvin to celebrate the launch of The Good Food Guide: Recipes. The book, which contains 60 recipes from leading chefs in this year’s guide, will be given to diners as they enjoy a three-course menu devised by Fifth Floor Restaurant executive chef Jonas Karlsson on 27 and 28 October.

After Lights Out

Five-star hotel The Wyndham Grand in Chelsea, is offering an overnight package to help parents make the most of time spent with their children and each other during half term. The After Lights Out package includes a night in one of the hotel’s Chelsea Suites, an early supper for children, a professional nanny for the evening plus two cocktails for parents to enjoy after bedtime.

Party like it’s 2000

Tom and Ed Martin’s ETM group is also celebrating an anniversary – its tenth. To mark the occasion, the pair will be slashing the price of selected food and drinks at all its pubs from 15-21 November to just 10p, during 10-10:10pm. Dishes such as Cornish Sprats with Tartare Sauce; Black Pudding Scotch Egg; the Londoner Sausage Roll with HP Sauce and Crispy Middle White Pork Belly with Apple Sauce will be available at the cut price. Drinks will be limited to just four per order. ETM will also be running several other promotions, such as Y2K pricing on its usual menus, plus a series of pub quizzes themed to the year 2000.
