The opening of Heston Blumenthal’s new restaurant Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London, has been delayed until the end of January next year.
Dinner, which will serve a menu inspired by historic British dishes, was originally due to open on 1 December, and is supposed to be taking advance bookings now.
A spokesperson for Blumenthal said: “It was just running late by a few weeks but that would mean opening in the Christmas week, so we had to postpone the whole thing until January. With holidays and other commitments it meant the opening would not be until the end of January.”
Dinner is now scheduled to launch on 29 January with The Fat Duck executive chef Ashley Palmer-Watts at the helm. The bookings line will open on 1 December on 020 7201 3833.
