Rebecca Mascarenhas, co-owner of Kitchen W8 in Kensington and Sonny’s in Barnes, has opened a third venture with former Locanda Locatelli chef Federico Turri in Putney.
Cantinetta, which opens today, will serve a traditional Italian menu featuring dishes inspired by Turri’s own personal experiences both in Italy and the UK.
Dishes include Parmesan Risotto with Pigeon, Chargrilled Poussin with Red Chillies, Roast Potatoes and Sweet Chicory, and Deep-fried Fresh Pecorino Ravioli with Bitter Honey.
Turri, who recently left his position as head chef of Caldesi in Campagna Restaurant in Bray, has also developed a bar menu of ‘Tiraditi’ (finger food), with plates priced at £3.50.
The 80-cover Cantinetta, which also features an outdoor terrace with seating for 60, will be open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday, and dinner Monday to Saturday.
Anna Dal Dosso has been appointed by Mascarenhas as general manager.
