Celebrity chef Phil Vickery has announced the winners of Coeliac UK’s Gluten-free chef of the Year competition, which helps raise awareness for the increased need for gluten-free menus.

Run his year in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs and the Institute of Hospitality, the competition saw Michael McCamley, head chef at Venue Catering in Northern Ireland take the title following a 90-minute cook-off.

Shanice Parris, catering student at Westminster Kingsway College, was given the title of Up and Coming Gluten-free Chef of the Year for the second time running.
