West Fifty Five, the Mediterranean restaurant on Baker Street, London, has gone into administration less than a year after opening

Administrators Re10 will continue to keep the restaurant operational until a purchaser can be found to take over the business.

The 240-cover restaurant and bar, housed in part of the former head office of Marks & Spencer, is still taking bookings for Christmas parties.

Finbarr O’Connell, managing partner at Re10, said: “We have had plenty of interest in (the restaurant) and expect to be completing a deal on it in the very near future.”

West Fifty Five features a patisserie counter and charcuterie bar, and serves an a la carte menu of seafood, pasta and grill dishes alongside a special tapas menu.
