The hotel, known for its views over Hyde Park, was backed by 40 per cent of guests in a campaign to support a homeless charity.
By adding a discretionary £1 donation to every guest’s invoice, the hotel was able to raise £2,443, which it will present on Friday to SleepSmart, a charity that provides the a range of help to the homeless, including hot showers, meals, and shoes for job interviews.
In another fundraising effort, Lancaster London raised £500 for a local environmental project, Let’s Go, Let’s Grow’, which it will present next week. The funds were collected at the hotel’s fifth annual ‘Green Day’, which aims to increase awareness of the hotel’s green policies amongst guest, staff and suppliers.
