Restaurants, pubs and hotels including the Opium Teahouse and Mushu, tell us what promotions they’re running to attract consumers during Chinese New Year.

The Chinese Elvis

Opium Teahouse in Nottingham is celebrating the year of the Rabbit by holding two special evenings in which diners will be entertained by The Chinese Elvis. For £30 per person on 3-4 February, diners can enjoy a banquet menu, fire crackers and live music from the “most renowned” Elvis impersonator from Beijing.

Lychee cocktail offer

Chino Latino, the Asian-inspired bar at Park Plaza Riverbank, is offering guests a buy-one-get-one-free offer on its signature lychee cocktail. Made using Skky vodka, X-Centrique liqueur, lychee juice, lime juice and squeezed pomegranate, the drink will be on offer from 3-6 February.

Dumpling Festival

Mushu in London is celebrating the New Year with a special Dumpling Festival. Guests can take advantage of the Warren Street restaurant’s offer of a large plate of dumplings plus a beer or wine for just £10.

Bunny dessert

The Lotus Chinese Floating Restaurant at Crossharbour in London is holding a traditional celebration on 3 February, when entertainment for the evening will include a Lion Dance and magic show. The restaurant will serve a special 10-course menu for £35 per person, featuring a “Bunny dessert” to finish.
