Mission Foods is to unveil two new flatbreads – in Moroccan and breakfast varieties - at the IFE show (13-16 March).

The Moroccan spice flatbread incorporates cumin and cinnamon with sultanas and a hint of lemon, making it ideal to serve with mezze platters.

The breakfast flatbread meanwhile is made using cranberry pieces and orange oil, which Mission suggests is best served toasted and buttered.

Fraser Chynoweth, head of foodservice UK and Ireland, said: “There are a number of trends that have been predicted to be big opportunities in 2011, including Mexican cuisine, sharing platters as well as demand for healthier options on menus aimed at consumers who want to reduce sodium levels in their diet.

“Our extensive range of authentic flatbreads cater for these consumer trends and we’re looking forward to demonstrating how operators can maximise these opportunities and drive sales at IFE.”
