Food & Fuel, the operator of London-based gastropubs and bars headed by former Spirit boss Karen Jones, has acquired the leasehold interest of the Queens Head pub in London's Holborn.

The company has taken a 20-year, free-of-tie lease on the ground floor and basement areas of the site, which is on Theobald's Road, near the popular Lamb's Conduit, with a passing rent of £80,000 per annum.

BigHospitality understands the site will be re-opened under the group's Coco Momo cafe bar and brasserie concept.

Food & Fuel currently operates five gastro pubs, a sports pub and three other Coco Momo cafe bars, spread across the capital.

Property advisor Shelley Sandzer handled the deal on behalf of the landlord.
