The week-long fundraising festival has traditionally engaged operators and individuals in the hospitality industry to find innovative ways to raise money for hospitality workers and their families during times of need.
The target for this year’s Hospitality Action Week, which will be between 16 and 22 May, has been kept low so as to engage more people.
“We’ve deliberately set a modest target so that more people will feel able to meet the challenge. Five pounds doesn’t sound a lot, but multiply it by 25,000 participants and we’d easily top last year’s achievement,” said Penny Moore, CEO of Hospitality Action.
Ways to raise money, says the charity, include entering the Hospitality Action Big Prize Draw, or taking part in the Super Hero 5K in London’s Regent Park on 15 May, which comes with a £20 registration fee and a commitment to raise £100 in sponsorship.
