A chef-turned-entrepreneur has launched a new iPhone app which allows customers to order food, reserve a table or receive promotions.

The new app, launched by London-based Andy Evans through his firm Chylled Consultancy, acts as an ordering or pre-booking facility, but is designed as a bespoke app for each establishment rather than a listing site like Top Table.

“I have produced this app to make the dining experience more enjoyable and seamless for both customers and catering professionals”, said Evans.

“It is designed to help all types and sizes of eating establishments to give added value to their diners. Customers are time-poor and more demanding than ever so we need to raise the bar and take the service one step further.

“Chylled Apps is very affordable, with setup costs starting at £175 and £1 payable per order, and I believe that it will result in more satisfied, loyal customers and a significant increase in repeat business for food establishments”.

When customers use the app they are able to view and place their last order as well as book rooms for private functions or enter promotional codes. The booking functionality can be modified to show only certain availability as time slots fill up.

Restaurants receive the orders and bookings via email and text. The use of the app also allows venues to capture customer data for future promotional activities.
