Pub operator JD Wetherspoon is one of 58 companies across the UK that have been recognised as Britain’s Top Employers for 2011.

This is the eighth consecutive year that Wetherspoon has been certified by the CRF Institute’s Top Employers project, which recognises high standards in human resources management.

“Wetherspoon’s open lines of communication, training opportunities that exceed the industry norm and bonus and share options for almost all employees,” said the CRF Institute.

The company was recognised for its HR policies and working conditions, scoring high marks on primary and secondary benefits, training and development, career development and company culture.

The CRF Institute chief executive officer, Steven Veenendaal, said: “ The 58 certified organisations have put the welfare of their employees at the top of their list of priorities and are doing exceptionally well in offering their employees the best working conditions.

“You will see that translated in the long-term sustainability of these companies.”
