Nine restaurants and bars operated by Principle Leisure Group have been placed on the market after the company fell into administration.

Administrators Begbies Traynor is seeking offers for the North-East based group, which has eight leasehold and one freehold site, on an individual site or entire group basis.

The nine restaurants and bars available through property agent Christie & Co, are:

River Bar & Flume Restaurant (Freehold), Washington

San Lorenzo Restaurant, Cramlington

San Lorenzo Restaurant, Gosforth

Saltwater, Nottingham

Popolo, Newcastle

Popolo, Sheffield

Popolo in the Garden, Newcastle

Establishment Bar, Sunderland

The Blackbird, Newcastle

Simon Chaplin, director at Christie & Co, said: “Opportunities to acquire a group of bars and restaurants of this quality do not come around too often. All are presented to a high standard in modern, traditional or listed buildings. Whether wet-or-dry led, each site offers a quality product and we are already receiving a great deal of interest.”
