EBLEX is urging pub and restaurant caterers to use the King Arthur Beef Roast cut this 23 April to maximise sales across the St. George’s Day and Easter weekend.

Taken from the chuck eye roll with the cap of the fore rib added, the large roasting joint is full of flavour and provides great value for money.

EBLEX claims the joint will help caterers boost profits over the weekend when consumers often seek a traditional roast family meal out of home.

Hugh Judd, EBLEX foodservice project manager, said: “It can be pot roasted or slow cooked to produce an intensely flavoured beef dish and will appeal to customers looking for a traditional and satisfying meal out of the home.

“St George’s Day is a huge opportunity for the foodservice sector to get in the spirit of the occasion and generate some additional profit from food sales. Celebrate with flags and banners and of course, serve up some traditional English dishes using quality assured beef and lamb and make a feature of it on your menus.”
