The Worship Street Whistling Shop will offer traditional cocktails with a scientific twist, mixing modernist scientific cooking techniques with classic drink recipes.
Ryan Chetiyawardana, a global finalist for Diageo Reserve Brands World Class competition, will lead the bar at the Whistling Shop. His cocktail menu will feature drinks such as Gin Fizz, a recreation of the Victorian Cream Gin drink fermented with Champagne yeast to create a colourless liquid.
A working lab, where Fluid Movement will concoct its latest creations, will be on show to the public, while two private dining rooms offer guests a more personal cocktail experience.
Guests can also book a masterclass at the Whistling Shop’s Cocktail Emporium, where they can learn and experience the history of a chosen spirit through cocktails “sounds, sights and scents”.
Scotland-based The Oyster Boys will provide the venue with a Victorian-inspired food offer. A full lunch menu will be available throughout the bar, while grazing dishes, such as suckling pig and rabbit hot pot, will be provided in the evening.
Fluid Movement is however considering plans to introduce a full “Victorian feast” a few months after its opening on 28 April.
