Entries are now being sought for the annual Mayfair Park and Tower Race in London, which aims to raise money for charity Galvin’s Chance.

The race will once more take place at Hyde Park on 8 July with a 4.5km sprint around Serpentine Lake before a climb up the 475 steps of London Hilton Park Lane to Galvin at Windows.

Last year’s winner was 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group chef Alan Murchison, who completed the course in just 18 minutes 53 seconds, beating fellow competitors Chris Galvin, Andre Garrett and Jerome Ponchelle.

Now in its third year, Galvin’s Chance helps young unemployed and disadvantaged people develop their skills and find jobs in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism industry.
