Louisa James, PA to the managing director at Jamie Oliver, has been named the country’s best PA, securing top place in the Hays and The Times PA of the Year Awards 2011.

A runner up in the awards was Lisa Partridge, PA to chef and restaurateur Michael Caines MBE. James and Partridge were amongst the six finalists for the nationwide awards, placing the spotlight on the contribution of PAs to restaurant and hospitality businesses.

James was awarded top spot for her organisational work and project management within her role at Jamie Oliver, where she became actively involved in the ‘Jamie’s 20-minute meals’ app.

“I feel so honoured to be chosen as the PA of the Year. I give my job my all, and to be recognised like this is a wonderful feeling. People often don’t realise the huge impact PAs can have in an organisation, so it’s wonderful to be acknowledged like this,” she said.
