The new premise is on the site of the former S&M Café on Long lane, and has been secured under lease for 20 years, at £63 per anum.
Meunier will reportedly have the site rent-free for the next five months in order to allow time for refurbishment.
The new site, located on the south side of Smithfield Market, follows the opening of the first Morgan M restaurant on Liverpool Street in Islington in 2003, which serves a modern French menu.
Located near other venues such as Fullers, Fabric, Gaucho, Carluccios, Hix, Café du Marche, Club Gascon and the Malmaison hotel, the new Morgan M covers 2,151 sq m over two floors. The ground floor space is 1,226 sq ft, while the basement space is 925 sq ft.
“Smithfields is a dynamic area where both new concepts and established ones can trade very well. Due to its close proximity to the City, it is an eating and drinking destination in its own right for independent and branded operators alike,” said Casey Phillips of Shelly Sandzer, who secured the site for Morgan M.
