Norfolk-based Larchwood Foods has produced two rapeseed oil products under the Mr Hugh's brand especially designed for use in professional kitchens.

The new products - Mr Hugh's Professional and Mr Hugh's Professional - Gourmet, will be unveiled at this year's Speciality & Fine Food Fair at London's Olympia from 4-6 September.

Mr Hugh's Professional rapeseed oil contains half the saturated fat found in olive oil and 10 times the amount of Omega 3. It has a delicate flavour making it suitable for different styles of cooking and has been carefully developed by experts to meet the demands of the catering industry.

Mr Hugh’s Professional – Gourmet is a single variety premium rapeseed oil and is developed with an increased oleic content which offers a particularly high smoke point making it ideal for high temperature applications such as roasting, deep frying and wok frying. It is also ideal for using in mayonnaises, salad dressings and for dipping.

The products, which use rapeseed sourced from seven established family farms in Norfolk, come in 5, 10 and 20 litre packs.

Larchwood Foods owner Hugh Mason said: “The Speciality & Fine Food Fair is without doubt one of the most important events for the food and drink industry, and we’re really pleased to be unveiling our new products to such a huge number of industry professionals. Our new rapeseed oils really meet the growing demand for ingredients which are healthy, delicious and traditionally British, and we feel confident that the quality of our oils will really set Mr Hugh’s apart from the rest.

"We’ve put a lot of effort into preparing for this launch, investing in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and brand-new machinery to use throughout the harvesting period, along with expanding the Larchwood Foods team. We’re really pleased with what we’ve accomplished so far, and we’re looking forward to a successful show.”
