The Real Food Festival has launched a free spin-off event to run at Southbank this autumn, to celebrate the abundance of British produce at that time of year.

The Real Food Harvest Festival will run from 23 to 25 September at London's Southbank Centre, bringing together 120 producers and top chefs.

Real Food Festivals founder Philip Lowery said: “Autumn is an exciting time to be staging a food festival and to be able to bring the best of what we do in Earls Court to such a wonderful outdoor setting is a real bonus.

"Harvest Festivals are celebrated throughout the British countryside and we really want to bring that energy and celebration to the capital and continue our goal of reconnecting people back to where their food comes from."

The event will include chef demos with top industry players such as Vivek Singh, Mickael Weiss of Coq d'Argent and the Hinds Head's Kevin Love, taste workshops, butchery classes, butter-making and a chance to see livestock from Laverstock Farm.
