Next week BigHospitality is heading to Devon to investigate the region’s bountiful, seasonal produce with a stellar line-up of chefs and restaurateurs – and you could join us.

On 20-21 September ten leading industry names will join BigHospitality on a study tour of the south western county, taking in some of the region’s best restaurants and meeting a host of experts and suppliers.

Those attending will gain valuable experience from a mackerel fishing trip, crab potting, a behind-the-scenes tour of a fish market and live fish auction, as well as sampling some of the best seafood Devon has to offer.

BigHospitality is giving its readers the chance to experience the trip virtually through Facebook. Throughout the two days we will be updating our Facebook page with news, advice on sourcing and sustainability, and pictures and videos of the trip.

Readers logging onto our Facebook page during the period can also get involved by asking questions to both expert suppliers and our brigade of leading chefs, the line-up of which will be revealed on Facebook on Monday 19 September.

Whether you'd like to know more about seasonality, how best to barter for produce, or are looking to improve your filleting skills, make sure you post your question on our wall.

We’ll endeavour to answer every query live as the tour progresses, ensuring that you are included as part of the action.

To make sure you don’t miss out on this unique virtual study tour, make sure you visit www.facebook.com/BigHospitality and click the Like button on or before 20 September.
