Robert Kecskes from The Anthrologist in London has won the UK Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender 2011 award.
Kecskes, who took the title from last year’s champion Chris Bailey from The Mall in Bristol, will now go on to represent the UK at the competition’s international final in Prague on 5 October.
Laura Edwards, director of trade marketing at Miller Brands, said: “The quality of the bartenders taking part in the Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender contest improves every year. It’s inspiring to see so much skill, passion and knowledge displayed by these professionals.
“Robert stood out from the other finalists. He is the perfect candidate to represent the UK in the contest for the international title and we wish him the best of luck.”
The international Master Bartender competition will take place in Prague on 5th October. The winner will take home €10,000.
