National pub operator Barracuda are strengthening their digital sales team with a number of appointments and the creation of two new roles: marketing and promotions manager and social media executive.

Andy MacBroom, who also runs his own digital production company, has been appointed marketing and promotions manager, with responsibility for Barracuda’s annual promotions calendar.

Charlotte Barratt joins as social media executive where she will drive and manage pub and bar activity to social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Barratt will report into Simon Gaske, sales and digital marketing manager, along with Amy Gatt who joins the company as digital co-ordinator.

Myles Doran, head of marketing at Barracuda, said: “These appointments come at a crucial time in our business when the additional specific resource will enable us to become more proficient within the digital sales arena.

“At the same time, it will help us to engage on a national and local level with our promotional calendar of events which are already very successful in the market place and further support our managers to enhance their retail proposition.

“The net result will be evident both in bar and virally and will deliver additional sales and revenue streams with improved spend per head.”

Also joining the sales team are Nikolaos Koutrakis and Severine Lesellier, who have both been appointed as party planners for Barracuda, with a remit to help to drive and increase pre-booked sales in their 220 pubs and bars across the country.
