A deadline for first bids on the Crowne Plaza Cambridge hotel has been set by Christie + Co.

A deadline for first bids on the Crowne Plaza Cambridge hotel has been set by Christie & Co.

The company, marketing the hotel on behalf of administrators Grant Thornton for offers in excess of £35m, is seeking first bids by 12 noon on Friday 14 October 2011.

The 198-room Crowne Plaza hotel is situated on Downing Street, close to the city’s King’s College Chapel. The hotel includes the restaurant Bloomsbury’s, a gym and sauna and 3,500 sq.ft of meeting room space capable of hosting a reception for 300 guests.

Alex Campbell of Christie + Co says: “Unsurprisingly, for such an excellently situated and appointed hotel, Christie & Co has received significant interest from both UK and overseas parties.”
