Ed’s Easy Diner is set to open a new restaurant in Selfridges, in the heart of Birmingham’s Bullring shopping centre on 17 October.

The 1950s-style American diner is the eighth in the group and the first to open in the midlands. It is the fifth shopping centre location for the chain, which also has sites at Bluewater and London’s Trocadero.

Andrew Guy, Director of Operations of Ed’s Easy Diner said: “With its unique ambiance, its fun service ethic and our menu of authentic American diner classics, we’re sure that Ed’s will provide Selfridges’ customers with the perfect break in their shopping day.”

The 75-cover restaurant is 1,500sq.ft in size and will be open every day of the week. Its menu will feature a range of classic US dishes, including hamburgers, hotdogs, milkshakes and fries.

Ewan Venters, Food, Restaurants and Online Director of Selfridges, said: “We are in no doubt that the fun American theme combined with the famous quality and simple authenticity of the dishes served at Ed's will win a faithful following from day one."
