The Restaurant Show 2011 opens with chefs Elena Arzak and Sat Bains appearing centre stage

Arzak, whose restaurant ranked at eight in this year's World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards, was there to officially open the Restaurant Show with show director Rachel Quigley. Arzak will appear on the Centre Stage tomorrow.
Bains, whose eponymous restaurant in Nottinghamshire was awarded its second Michelin star last week, is first up on Centre Stage today with a presentation entitled The London Games. Others due to appear include Hamish Brown and Satomi Okubo from Roka, Nuno Mendes of Viajante and Nathan Myhrvold and Maxime Billet.
Over in the Business Bootcamp will be the British Hospitality Association (BHA) talking about the latest on food labelling and Livebookings discussing innovative marketing with Simon Davis of London Restaurant Festival, Atul Kochhar of Benares and Shamil Thakrar of Dishoom.
Contenders for this year's Champagne Jacquart's Rising Stars trophy will be over in the Competition Theatre while those wanting to further their knowledge in the liquid element of the business can do so in the Drinks Quarter.
