Arjun and Peter Waney - co-founders of Zuma and Roka - and celebrated restaurateur Giuliano Lotto are set to open Banca, a new Italian restaurant in Mayfair, in March 2012.

Banca restaurant, the 4,700sq.ft retail space, located at 30 North Audley Street, has been taken on a 15-year lease under the ownership of Grosvenor. Since BigHospitality broke the news of Banca back in January, a thorough refurbishment has been completed on the building which used to be a Natwest Bank.

Helen Franks, head of commercial leasing at Grosvenor, said: “I am excited to welcome Banca to North Audley Street and look forward to their opening next year. Their arrival reflects Grosvenor’s aspirations for improving the street as we embark on the next phase of public realm works.”

Arjun Waney, who reopened private members’ club The Arts Club last month, is excited about his newest venture, claiming he is “delighted to have a presence in one of the finest streets in Mayfair."

North Audley Street represents the next phase in Grosvenor’s public realm programme. Also in the area are nine newly converted apartments, three of which are triplexes, each with a terrace. These will come to the rental market in January 2012.
