Kudos, part of the Crown Group, has signed a multi-million-pound contract to provide food and venue management services at Aldermaston Manor Hotel in Berkshire.

The five-year contract is worth an estimated £8m in total turnover and will see the food and venue group deliver a wide range of services including conferences, banquets, restaurant dining, cleaning and all room maintenance services.

Charles Beer, managing partner of Crown Group, said: “This contract demonstrates the fact that our reputation for good food and strong sales ability is growing outside of our traditional sectors.

“Our view is that good food is good food, no matter what the venue. Our food credentials, coupled with our commercial know-how, will enable us to deliver a level of service that this historic venue truly deserves.”

Rich history

Aldermaston Manor’s history dates back to 1066 and was once the home of William the Conqueror. It has 33 bedrooms and four conference and banqueting rooms, with capacities of up to 100 people.

Michael Kingshott, chairman, Serviced Office Group, added: “We are excited to have Kudos on-board as we believe the companies will work well together to maximise the potential from the estate and transform it into a world-class business and leisure environment.”

The estate is managed by Serviced Office Group plc, an AIM-Listed group which owns or manages 23 properties, principally in the London area.
