Altitude London to open second Millbank Tower restaurant

Opening next Monday, the 50-cover restaurant offers an accessible modern British and European menu. P.O.M. is also available for private events, with outdoor seating for up to 200 people.

Marketing Director Peter Kerwood said: “P.O.M. Restaurant & Bar is a unique restaurant in the heart of Westminster inspired by the 19th century penitentiary which once stood in its place. We look forward to welcoming you at P.O.M. from Monday 14th November.”

The restaurant takes its name from the 19th century Prison of Millbank which once stood adjacent to what is now the Millbank Tower. ‘POM’ is an Australian acronym to describe British prisoners who travelled from the Millbank Prison.

Seasonal dishes​

The menu boasts a wide range of seasonal dishes including fish and chips, steaks, pies and the P.O.M. Burger. There will also be sharing boards, including Mediterranean dishes of hummus, tzatziki and pitta bread and a charcuterie selection, along with an extensive wine list.

Benefitting from views of the Thames, P.O.M Restaurant & Bar is situated at the heart of Westminster, alongside London’s most famous landmarks. P.O.M. is just a ten minute walk from the Houses of Parliament and a short walk from Tate Britain.
