London-based tea blender and coffee roaster Drury has added a special spiced Christmas blend to its pyramid-shaped teabag range to enable hotels, restaurants and pubs to enhance their beverage menus for the festive season.

Available only in the run-up to Christmas, the black tea has been blended with apple, orange and Christmas spices and is best served without milk.

Drury believes the pyramid shape of the bag and the material it is made from permits the use of larger leaf teas and allows the tea to brew more efficiently.

The Christmas tea comes in packs of 15 for display and self-selection with a wholesale list price of £2.95. Alternatively, catering packs of 100 cost £16.20.

Drury director, Marco Olmi said: “Our seasonal offering delivers the perfect taste of Christmas. The new pyramid packaging is particularly suitable for the blend. It allows the teas and spices to circulate and brew properly whilst at the same time avoiding any messy residue in the cup.”

The full range of pyramid teas - blended and packed in-house at Drury’s premises in south London – now comprises 17 other teas:

  • Breakfast BOP
  • Imperial Earl Grey
  • Assam FOP
  • Darjeeling FOP
  • Yunnan FOP
  • Jasmine with Flower
  • Pinhead Gunpowder Green
  • Spiced Chai with Assam FOP
  • Camomile Flowers
  • Peppermint Leaves
  • Lemon & Ginger infusion
  • Rooibos
  • Passionfruit & Orange Infusion
  • Redberry Fruit Infusion
  • Summer Garden Floral Tea Blend
  • Pai Mu Tan China White Tea
  • Ti Kuan Yin China Oolong
