The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) is calling for last-minute entries to its 2012 Licensee of the Year Awards.

With the deadline for entries on 9 January, the competition aims to award UK licensees that are making the most of the resources they have. The winner will receive a mass of publicity, generating furthered success for their pub.

The type of pub is not important and the judges’ decision will be based on:

Demonstration of high levels of business acumen

  • A clear commitment to staff development
  • Entrant’s passion for the licence trade and their ability to speak knowledgably about industry issues
  • Whether the entrant is deemed to be a fitting ambassador for the industry

To enter, licensees should log on to www.bii.org/loya and complete the first stage entry online. If they are successful in stage one, stage two entry forms will be sent to them.
