John Campbell, Jason Atherton and William Curley have united with Hospitality Action and Springboard to cook at a gala dinner in a bid to raise funds for the two industry charities.

The three chefs will create their own signature dishes for the dinner on 27 February. Campbell will be working alongside a team from BAxterStorey to create the starter; Atherton will be working with Compas Group to prepare the main course; and Curley will be delivering the dessert in partnership with Elior.

“The evening will be a fantastic celebration raising crucial funds for those in need right across our industry,” said Penny Moore, chief executive for Hospitality Action, in a statement on the events website, http://thebigevent.uk.net.

“Be sure not to miss out on what promises to be a real night to remember!”

The Big Event

The Big Event aims to raise funds in order to help young, disadvantaged and unemployed people to get sustainable employment in the sector or supporting those who may have fallen on hard times or have developed a substance dependency.

Anne Pierce MBE, chief executive for the Springboard charity, added: “It’s going to be the biggest and best charity event for our sector that has ever been held – so everybody in this dynamic industry should get behind it.

“And the funds raised will be helping to continue the vital work of both charities as they assist needy individuals across the UK.”
