Soho restaurant Quo Vadis has reopened following a month of refurbishment work with former Blueprint Cafe chef Jeremy Lee taking charge of the kitchen.

The restaurant has been given a lighter, pared down look to create the right environment for Lee's simpler, unfussy style of cooking. The reopening also sees the chef becomes a partner in the business, which brothers Sam and Eddie Hart took over in June 2008.

The menu, which features illustrations from John Broadley, will change daily. Dishes expected to feature include salt mallard and beetroot salad; ox liver, onions and sage and hake, clams, leeks and fennel. There will also be a grill section, a pie of the day and a suggested Neal's Yard cheese and wine pairing.

Lee, who was at the Blueprint Cafe at Shad Thames for 16 years before announcing his departure for Quo Vadis, is joined by Jon Spiteri, who has experience at Corrigan's and St John, as general manager.
