Craft Beer Co's first site in Clerkenwell. Founder Martin Hayes is hoping to roll the concept out this year to Brighton and beyond
Craft Beer Co, the specialist beer bar concept founded by Martin Hayes, is expanding its reach with the launch of its second site in Brighton and a third also planned for later this year.

Hayes, who opened his first Craft Beer Co pub in Leather Lane, Clerkenwell last June, has secured the lease of the Florist pub in Brighton's Upper North Street.

He said there had been 'enthusiasm' for the concept, which aims to showcase quality craft beers from around the world, in London and is sure the same will happen in Brighton.

"Let’s face it, Brighton has a diverse culture and a free spirit, something all of the craft brewers from around the world share. The concept is about bringing together under one roof, the very best craft brewers from around the world, including many of those in this country, such as Magic Rock and Thornbridge. But non beer lovers needn’t worry, we’ve amassed a great range of wines and spirits too, though we like the challenge to find a beer people like – the range available now is mind-blowing”.

Hayes said he was also hoping to announce the venue for a third Craft Beer Co site in the coming weeks. He added: “We’re on track for the roll-out schedule we’d planned when we opened our first site in Leather Lane – it’s a very exciting time for the team”.
