Cooks & Co has launched two new recipes for its foodservice pesto sauces
The Cooks & Co brand, owned by fine food distributor R.H. Amar, has launched new recipes for its two pesto pasta sauces for foodservice operators.

Both the green and red pestos feature fresh ingredients including Italian Basil and extra virgin olive oil and come in 1.2kg screw top catering jars.

Each jar contains around 50 servings and the Buckinghamshire-based company has kept the pricing the same as the previous level with the old recipes in a move Cooks & Co says makes sure the products deliver strong value and quality for operators.

Superior-grade

The new recipe green pesto uses fresh Basil from Liguria and extra virgin olive oil, classifying it as a superior-grade Alla Genovese pesto, while the red pesto features real sundried tomatoes. This addition allows it to also use the Alla Siciliana label.
Both pestos offer a shelf life of 12 months from manufacture.

Cooks & Co

Simon Fry, marketing director at R.H. Amar, said: "We constantly strive to ensure that all our Cooks & Co offerings are the very best they can be."
"Our Cooks & Co foodservice range complements the growing range of Cooks & Co retail products, making Cooks & Co an increasingly important and recognised brand in the fine food industry. All items in our foodservice range are selected for their excellent quality and kitchen-friendly packaging," he said.

The Cooks & Co brand also includes sun dried tomatoes, Dijon mustard, garlic purée, artichokes, peppers, stuffed vine leaves and figs.
