The Master Innholders has announced the opening of its annual scholarship programme, offering hospitality managers and senior department heads the chance to earn a coveted place on an intensive management development course.

The scholarship programme is open to managers in the UK hospitality industry that are likely to be promoted to senior management. It allows up to 18 candidates to enrol in one of four residential courses at Cranfield University School of Management, Cornell University (USA) or Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (Switzerland).

“Since founding the scholarships in 1997, we’ve seen 185 people benefit through education on these world-leading management courses,” explains Stuart Johnson, chairman of the Master Innholders.

“This programme is part of our commitment to help the UK hospitality industry compete successfully in an increasingly competitive global stage.”

Applications for the 2013 intake are now open and close at the end of June, with interviews taking place in November.

For successful candidates there are four courses available for 2013:

  • The Lausanne Hospitality Management Summer Programme: A 14-day residential programme at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland in June and July 2013
