Tuttons restaurant in the heart of London’s Covent Garden Piazza has re-opened its doors after a four-month, multi-million-pound refurbishment project.

The restaurant, which now features a new-look interior and an English-accented menu, forms part of the recent evolution of Covent Garden into one of London’s dining hotspots.

Hugh Fowler, managing director of Covent Garden Restaurants, which owns Tuttons said: “Tuttons has a fantastic tradition of providing quality food in a great London environment.

“The new menu brings together everything we are proud of in the UK and we are delighted with the work Russell and his team have done to give Tuttons a fresh new look, while respecting the historical features of this listed building.

“We look forward to welcoming existing and new customers to experience it for themselves.”

The restaurant’s all-day brasserie and bar has had an extensive refurbishment by interior design company Russell Sage Studios, whose recent projects include The Savoy, Zetter Townhouse and the Royal Suite at the Goring.

Its menu draws inspiration from traditional British ingredients such as pressed Sussex ham hock, Yorkshire black pudding, Shetland mussels and Kentish raspberry cheesecake. Importance is also placed on the history of Covent Garden as a market place, celebrating the home-grown fruit and vegetables distributed for generations from the piazza.

The past year has seen a number of additions to the F&B portfolio of Covent Garden, including:

Sarah-Jane Curtis, director of Covent Garden London, said: “In recent months the dining offering in Covent Garden has seen a real evolution with new restaurant concepts opening throughout the neighbourhood.

“As a Covent Garden institution, we are delighted that Tuttons has invested in its renovation and will be again opening its doors to customers.”
