Jamie's Italian, the restaurant chain led by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, has launched its first deli selling takeaway meals and produce under the brand name at a site in Bath where there is also a full Jamie's Italian eatery.

Deli @ Jamie's Italian opened at Milsom Place in the South West city on 28 June. It comes after an announcement by Carluccio's that the all-day restaurant business will be following Jamie's Italian and opening a restaurant in the shopping centre in September.

"We’ve been talking about doing a deli since before we even opened the first Jamie’s Italian in Oxford," Jamie Oliver said. "As with everything else about Jamie’s Italian, we’ve sourced the best ingredients for takeaway breakfasts, lunches and even dinners."

The 600 sq.ft deli adapts its offer throughout the day starting with coffee, pastries and breakfast. It also serves cured meats and cheeses for antipasti or sandwiches. The staff will also be serving takeaway pasta or ready-made dinners.

The deli opening marks another major departure for the Jamie Oliver branded restaurants after the opening of Jamie Oliver at Gatwick this week.
