Catering equipment supplier JM Posner has added a new stick waffle maker to its range which it is aiming at restaurants, hotels and pubs looking to liven up takeaway offerings or dessert menus.

Product details:

JM Posner's stick waffle maker is designed to make up to six waffles in minutes. Waffles can be served hot and fresh straight from the machine or can be made in advance and stored in display cabinets for customers to choose. Each machine is fitted with a digital temperature control and a non-stick plate as well as a mechanism for turning during cooking to create an even cook.

USP:

As waffles are designed to be eaten off a stick, they have multi-use as they can be sold for eating-on-the go by outlets with takeaway options or who focus on al-fresco dining, but can also be added to dessert menus to liven up dishes or offer something different. The machine is portable and small enough to store anywhere, so can also be used anywhere within a business or only used during certain seasons.

Cost:

£800.

Availability:

Visit www.jmposner.co.ukor call 01623 220805. JM Posner also supplies a range of accessories, including plastic stick holders and the waffle mix itself.

Why should you buy it?:

“The smell of freshly baked waffles, wafting through the dining area or the excitement of seeing them being cooked in just three minutes in front of your eyes is a big draw for hungry customers," said JM Posner managing director Justin Posner.

"The good thing about stick waffles is that they are easy to eat anywhere you happen to be - in a garden, on the move or as a dessert in a restaurant. They are easy to customise to suit tastes whether that is chocolate sauce, a fruit compote, or even fresh fruit. The machine is easy to transport, only requiring a plug to operate, meaning its also suitable to be moved from the kitchen to an external bar area or garden during the warmer summer months.”

Alternatives:

If you are looking for novelty within your restaurant, hotel or pub, A1 Equipment has created the Chocolate Kebab machine or if you wish to provide more on-the-go desserts on a stick, Mitchell & Cooper has devised these ice cream moulds for caterers to make their own lollies.
